The ITIL 4 Managing Professional Transition module is designed to allow ITIL Experts or ITIL v3 candidates who have already invested to easily transition across to ITIL 4. They can gain the designation of ITIL 4 Managing Professional via one course and one exam. The Transition module recognizes the candidate’s existing achievements and allows them to gain the up-to-date skills and knowledge needed to navigate the digital service economy. ***************************************************************************************** CLASS DURATION: 36 hours. Classes can be delivered in a highly flexible manner in terms of number of hours per day, start / finish times and specific days of the week (including weekends). e.g. 4 hrs x 9 days – Wk 1: Mon – Fri; Wk 2: Mon – Thu. ***************************************************************************************** Please ask if you have any specific requirements / limitations.

Course Overview
ITIL® 4 Managing Professional have been developed for IT practitioners working within technology and digital teams across organizations.
Managing Professional (MP) provides practical and technical guidance on how to create, deliver and support successful IT-enabled services, teams and workflows.
The ITIL 4 Managing Professional Transition module is designed to allow ITIL Experts or ITIL v3 candidates who have already invested to easily transition across to ITIL 4. They can gain the designation of ITIL 4 Managing Professional via one course and one exam.
ITIL v3 candidates must have gained a minimum of 17 credits from the ITIL v3 Foundation and Intermediate/Practitioner modules or an ITIL Expert certificate. ITIL 4 Foundation can be accepted to replace ITIL v3 Foundation, plus 15 credits from ITIL Intermediate/Practitioner modules.
The Transition module recognizes the candidate’s existing achievements and allows them to gain the up-to-date skills and knowledge needed to navigate the digital service economy.

Learning Objectives
This course focuses on the alignment of digital business strategy with IT strategy. Attendees acquire an understanding of:

  • A review of the main differences between ITIL v3’s five-stage lifecycle IT service management model and its 26 processes and functions, compared to ITIL 4’s service value system model and its 34 practices
  • A review of the SVS model and its components: the service value chain, seven guiding principles, four business dimensions, governance, continual improvement, and a review of ITIL 4’s 34 practices, which are grouped into three operational streams (general management, service management, and technical management)
  • Key concepts and teachings from the three ITIL 4 advanced IT Specialist courses: Create, Deliver & Support; Drive Stakeholder Value; High Velocity IT
  • Key concepts and teachings from the ITIL Strategist advanced book and course – “Direct, Plan & Improve”
  • A review and ample discussion of the examinable agenda items, at the end of each module

Practice exams and ample opportunity to reinforce the key concepts needed for the exam

  4. HIGH VELOCITY IT
    • Understand concepts regarding the high-velocity nature of the digital enterprise, including the demand it places on IT
    • Understand the digital product lifecycle in terms of the ITIL ‘operating model’
    • Know how to create, deliver and support services
  5. DIRECT, PLAN & IMPROVE
    • Understand the scope of what is to be directed and/or planned, and know how to use key principles and methods of direction and planning in that context
    • Understand the role of GRC and know how to integrate the principles and methods into the service value system
    • Understand and know how to use the key principles and methods of Communication and Organizational Change Management to direction planning and improvement

Prerequisites & Exam Details
Type: Online Exam having Forty (40) multiple choice. Each question will have 4 options, one of which is right carrying 1 mark.
Duration: 90 minutes. Candidates sitting the examination in a language other than their native language have 25% extra time
Prerequisite: The candidate must have the ITIL Expert certification or have 17 credits under the ITIL Credit scheme. In addition, the candidate must have attended an accredited training course for this module (the recommended duration for this training is 30 hours including the examination).
Pass Score: 70% (28 0f 40)
Exam Price: AUD $532 (ex GST)
Certification exam price is in addition to the price of training
